What this Napa Valley gift guide covers: eleven specific, current Grgich Hills Estate wines priced under $150, organized from most to least affordable, so you can find the right gift for any budget or palate.
Napa Valley wine can carry sticker shock, and Grgich Hills Estate makes plenty of wines that live well above this range. But our current releases also show real depth under $150 — including some of the same organic, regeneratively farmed fruit that goes into our flagship bottlings, and one reserve-tier Cabernet Sauvignon with its own acclaim listed below. This guide is built entirely from our own current catalog, with real prices, not marketing copy.

Two of these wines carry their own critical scores
The 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon ($73) and the 2022 Miljenko’s Selection Cabernet Sauvignon ($125) are both independently scored at 95 points.
The 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon comes from Rutherford and Calistoga fruit — 82% Cabernet Sauvignon, 10% Merlot, 5% Petit Verdot, and 3% Cabernet Franc, aged 20 months in 100% French oak — and was scored 95 points by Decanter. Legendary winemaker Mike Grgich, who passed away in December 2023 at age 100, had a hand in shaping this blend as winemaker emeritus; his nephew, Croatian-born Ivo Jeramaz, now manages day-to-day winemaking.
If your gift budget stretches past $100, the 2022 Miljenko’s Selection Cabernet Sauvignon ($125) is the reserve-tier step up, scored 95 points by The Wine Palate:
“Deep garnet-purple in color, the 2022 Cabernet Sauvignon Miljenko’s Selection slowly unfurls to reveal very pretty notes of fresh black cherries, crushed blackcurrants, and raspberries, plus hints of camphor, graphite, and wild thyme. The full-bodied palate is satisfyingly intense yet bright and light on its feet, featuring a grainy texture and lively backbone, finishing long and minerally.” —Lisa Perrotti-Brown
Why gift a $32 Riesling instead of a $73 Cabernet?
Not every gift needs to be a splurge. The 2024 Miljenko’s Selection Riesling is an easy, food-friendly introduction to the estate for someone who hasn’t tried Grgich Hills before, while the 2021 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon makes a stronger statement for a host or a serious wine drinker on your list. Both come from our certified organic, Regenerative Organic Certified vineyards in Napa Valley.
Want to gift another award-winning bottle?
Beyond the two Cabernet Sauvignons above, Grgich Hills Estate’s 2023 Paris ’76 Chardonnay has also earned a specific, verified critic score — 97 points from Lisa Perrotti-Brown — see our full Wine Awards & Scores page for the details.
