Label of Grgich Hills Estate Yountville Selection Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon, Napa Valley.

Cabernet Sauvignon, Yountville Old Vine

We’re proud to be the custodians of the second oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines in Napa Valley: a block in our Yountville vineyard of the Inglenook clone, planted on St. George rootstock in 1959, producing a refined and complex wine.

Zinfandel, Miljenko’s Old Vine

Miljenko “Mike” Grgich’s home in Calistoga overlooks our small vineyard where the few rows of ancient Zinfandel vines that produce this wine were planted more than 100 years ago on St. George rootstock. Its northeast exposure catches plenty of morning light but is shaded from the hot, late afternoon sun while the vineyard’s gravelly loam soil allows the extensive roots to reach deep.

Chardonnay, Paris Tasting Commemorative

For this wine we select only the best grapes, which are primarily from our oldest block of Chardonnay, the Old Wente clone planted in 1989. Through a combination of clone, age and cool climate, this single block in our estate vineyard in the chilly Carneros region of Napa Valley creates wonderfully rich flavors, balanced with crisp acidity. All our vineyards are certified regenerative organic, ensuring that all of our grapes are of the highest quality, and that we are responsible stewards of our environment.

Label of Grgich Hills Estate Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley Essence, set in front of a royal blue background.

Sauvignon Blanc, Napa Valley Essence

Only the best blocks that express the true nature — the essence — of our Sauvignon Blanc are used for this limited production wine. The grapes come from our chilly American Canyon vineyard (51%) and are supplemented from our Carneros vineyard (49%), where the cool climate and thin soils limit vigor, producing fewer grapes but more intense flavor. We hand-harvested the grapes at night into small bins, so they arrived at the winery cool and intact, preserving their wonderful flavors and bright acidity.

Label of Grgich Hills Estate Violetta, Late Harvest Dessert Wine, grown and crafted in Napa Valley.

Violetta, Late Harvest

Named after Mike’s daughter, our uniquely delicious dessert wine depends on Botrytis cinerea, a special fungus that permeates the grape skin, concentrating the sugar, flavors, and natural acidity.

This classically-produced late harvest wine relies on perfect conditions for the Botrytis cinerea to thrive, making productions of this varietal a rare treat. (375ml. bottle)
