ESTATE GROWN | CERTIFIED ORGANIC | FAMILY OWNED & OPERATED
With Napa Valley as our backyard, the enviable variety of soils and microclimates provide our Napa vineyards with the best possible conditions to produce the highest quality fruit. As Miljenko “Mike” Grgich and Ivo Jeramaz say, “great wines begin in the vineyard.”
Growing high-quality fruit is a crucial step in the winemaking process. The advantages of organic and regenerative farming range from benefits to human health, to protecting the environment and the welfare of natural ecosystems.
“We want to make truly authentic wines that resemble their birthplace. We do that by owning all of our organically-certified vineyards and by practicing the most progressive and effective farming method – regenerative agriculture. ‘Sustainability’ is only continuing to do what you’ve always done, whereas ‘regeneration’ actually brings soil back to life.”

Miljenko “Mike” Grgich first gained international recognition at the celebrated “Paris Tasting” of 1976. Then, in a now-historic blind tasting, a panel of eminent French judges swirled, sniffed, and sipped an array of the fabled white Burgundies of France and a small sampling of upstart Chardonnays from the Napa Valley. When their scores were tallied, the French judges were shocked: they had chosen the 1973 Chateau Montelena Chardonnay, crafted by Mike Grgich, as the finest white wine in the world. Mon Dieu! The results stunned the international wine establishment and immediately earned Mike a reputation as one of the greatest winemakers in the world.
