Just in time for the holidays, we’ve paired “A Glass Full of Miracles” the autobiography by Miljenko “Mike” Grgich that Violet will discuss on October 12th, with a bottle of our flagship red wine, the 2012 vintage of our Yountville Old Vine Cabernet Sauvignon from our Legacy Selection.
The book, published by Violetta Press, was written with Napa Valley Register editor Sasha Paulsen and chronicles the long and storied life of a young Croatian boy whose search for freedom and the chance to fulfill his American Dream led him through countless hardships to become one of the most revered and beloved winemaking legends in history.
We’ve paired this memoir by 93-year-old Mike Grgich with some of the oldest Cabernet Sauvignon vines in the Napa Valley, planted more than 50 years ago. These ancient vines produce a full-bodied and well balanced Cabernet Sauvignon with rich flavors of blackberries, black licorice and a hint of allspice with a long, seductive finish. Having the patience to cellar this wine will reward you in the glass years from now. Serve with robust meat dishes or all by itself to fully enjoy the wine’s complex flavors.
The book and bottle are packaged in a sturdy multi-purpose logo wood tray. Shipping included.
